Here you can watch the sun sink slowly into the water from the comfort of your private deck or inside from the wall of windows facing the sound. With panoramic views of colorful sunsets and Portsmouth Island off in the distance, "Sunset on the Sound" is the perfect getaway from the hustle of everyday life.

"Sunset on the Sound" offers easy access to Pamlico Sound for kayaking, clamming or bird watching (see photos for how closely you can watch the birds from your deck!) and a shared dock. Enjoy a short walk or bike ride to many local shops and restaurants.

The open floor plan of the living/dining area with cathedral ceilings and the sound views from both the living area and the loft contribute to an atmosphere of total R-E-L-A-X-ation at "Sunset on the Sound".

Central AC/Heat, ceiling fans, wireless internet access, free domestic long distance service, phone with answering machine and 4 handsets. Two whirlpool tubs and gas log fireplace (off season only). Full size washer/dryer. Fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, icemaker, coffee maker and blender.

For entertainment, three color cable TV's (including a 42" and 32" flat screen), iPod/iPhone/Bluetooth for iPad stereo dock with FM radio, DVD/CD player and VCR and are provided. Additional amenities include a hairdryer, iron and alarm clock.

For your outdoor pleasure, you will appreciate a generously furnished waterfront deck overlooking Pamlico Sound, the distant Portsmouth Island and Ocracoke Inlet. Your accommodations offer a front row seat to spectacular Ocracoke sunsets. Enjoy a shallow water shared dock.

Sheets, pillow cases and bed linens provided (no towels).

No Pets and No Smoking Please. Maximum occupancy is set at 8 people, including children. Parking is limited to 3 vehicles and includes one covered parking space.

Saturday check-in. Partial stays of less than a week are welcomed and may be booked within 2 weeks of your desired arrival date. You may either call the office at 877-646-2822 to book your partial week stay or you may book online under the nightly tab on this property page.
